Benin City Demands Justice For Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa

The entire community joins the family of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa to demand justice from the Edo State Government to be meted-out on the pastor of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ohovbe, near Ikpoba-Hill, Benin City, Edo state.

We demand justice for Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100 level Microbiology student of the University of Benin, who died from injuries sustained from rape.

The 22-year-old Uwa was raped on Friday 29th May at her church, the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Ohovbe, near Ikpoba Hill, Benin City where she had gone to read in preparation for exam's billed to commence once lockdown restrictions were relaxed.
The rapists smashed her head with a fire extinguisher after raping her, leaving her for dead.
She died from loss of blood and deep cut's sustained at the Intensive care unit of the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, Benin on Saturday night. 
Our thought's are with the family of the deceased.
We call on the Church authorities, Government and the Nigeria Police Force to investigate this issue and bring the perpetrators of this dastardly act to book.
