Don't Build Your Mansion On Rented Land
Don't Build Your Mansion On Rented Land
It happened few nights ago, Maria came running to my house shouting, I am finished..! Tears rolling down her cheeks like a burst pipe, She screamed in agony, who did I offend, oh! "my village people" has finally succeeded, what a waste of time and effort.
So I calmed her down and asked her what happened, without saying a word, she gave me her phone with this written on the screen, "this account has been disabled".
I thought to myself how could this be, Maria was an "influencer" on social media and she has so many small business that she has promoted their product and she is still running a great deal of advert when this happened to her.
It is impossible, this is just a dream abi?
Maybe this will cure your doubt
😳 Effective October 1, 2020, Facebook is updating its Terms of Service to add in just this one little sentence,
❝We also can remove or restrict access to your content, services or information if we determine that doing so is reasonably necessary to avoid or mitigate adverse legal or regulatory impacts to Facebook.❞
Interesting timing but what does it mean for third world nations and free users?. 🤔
If you are still using free services on the internet, then just know that you are building your mansion on rented land.
Why you might ask?
You are giving these companies right to control your content without you having any say in the matter. Be it Facebook, Twitter, Blogger, Wordpress, Appyet, Free Web Hosting Services, Amazon, etc.
When Google pulled out their free service for Google+, all who where on free Google+ service lost outright!
It is happening across platforms and what is free today will not be free tomorrow!
Start making plans to buy premium services on every platform you are in and market like crazy.
You cannot build your internet business structure on free packages.
When these companies decide to pull the rug under you, you will be left naked like Maria.
So you might be wondering can I afford premium services, would my using premium services expand my reach and business. Will I be able to cover my cost and make more profit?
The answer to the above questions are YES, YES YES
This reminds me about the story of Linda Ikeji who was using free blogspot(rented land) and was making good money but was ranking very low, until she switched to premium service, bought are own domain name and hosting(bought her own land) and even hosted her on social network for awhile, floated her TV and lots more, she made more money from social media in one year than she has made in her previous 3 years combined.
The cost was just a penny then....!
You too can switch and save yourself the embarrassment of Maria and start earning like Linda Ikeji.
