Nigerian Army Has Arrested The Soldiers Who Threaten To Infect Warri Women With HIV
The Nigerian Army on April 3rd 2020 alledged that they have apprehended and arrested, members from their platoon who threatened to infect women in Warri, Delta State with HIV virus. It was posted on their twitter handle.
According to the post, this is what was said:
"Soldiers in a viral video using uncouth and uncivilized language purportedly threatening to molest women in Warri Delta State were arrested at 9 Brigade Ikeja Military Cantonment Lagos State today 3 April 2020 and further investigation is ongoing. 1/3
The general public should be assured that the investigations will be swift and fair in accordance with applicable military laws. The outcome of the investigations will determine the most appropriate disciplinary measures that can be taken in the circumstances 2/3
The Nigerian Army wishes to reiterate that it would not tolerate any form of irresponsibility and indiscipline on the part of any of its personnel. 3/3"
Although members of the public were skeptical of the arrest of those soldiers hence, they demand for proof from the Nigerian Army. Meanwhile more videos from other soldiers making similar threats keep surfacing on the internet, hence buttressing the fears of the general public especially those in Warri.
