Who is the greatest Nigerian rapper of all time?

The greatest Nigerian rapper of all time in my opinion is Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, known professionally as "Ruggedman", is a Nigerian rapper from Ohafia, Abia State.

Man you just have to love the guy, I mean his style of rapping was unique compared to the guys who came before and after him. Just imagine using "pidgin" with western accent, that is how his song sounded then and I believed that he came to setup the Nigerian rap industry on a better course and development through his unique style.

Then, he mixed indigenous Yoruba deep idiomatic songs with his rap and set the bar higher

for the new rappers to scale. He was eons ahead of his time, just like Jay Z, Tupac, Biggy, Eminem change the rap industry in America, Ruggedman single-handed change the Nigerian rap industry.

His songs like ehen, what if, ruggedybaba, barage, peace or war, has never been replicated in style and uniqueness in the Nigerian music world and I strongly believe, that it may never be surpassed in the future. Ruggedman is truly a genius, centuries ahead of his time.

His choice of words and phrases, captures the interest of the people and like Picasso, Da Vinci, paintings capture emotions in Monalisa or the Last Supper. He expresses societal ills and solutions at the same time. Giving the people ways to govern their behaviour and change habits through their thought patterns. He is a classical art and needed to be studied in school of music.
