NNPC Says, Abule-Ado Blast Triggered By Gas Explosion


The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) says that a gas blast caused the impact which shook Abule Ado region of Lagos State. 

In an announcement by the Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division, Dr Kennie Obateru, on Sunday, the impact happened after a truck hit a few gas chambers stacked in a gas handling plant situated close to the enterprise's System 2B pipeline option to proceed. 

He included that fundamental discoveries demonstrated that the effect of the blast was
enormous that it prompted the breakdown of close by houses and harmed some NNPC pipelines. 

Dr Obateru said when the enterprise found out about the blast, it stopped continuous siphoning procedure on the Atlas Cove-Mosimi pipeline which was dynamic at the hour of the episode, while endeavors are being made to diminish the fire.
