Delta State : Update On The Ugborodo (Chevron Yard) CoronaVirus Saga.
Finally, Coronavirus may have made is landing in the oil city of Warri via Chevron yard in Ugborodo.
I made a post yesterday concerning a white man who tested positive to to the dreaded CoronaVirus and that we need to verify the authenticity of the news.
Last night a Chevron staff saw my post and requested for my number, it was this morning I saw his message and sent him my number. He pleaded with me not to review his identify
because it's against Chevron's code of conduct giving company information out.
According to him, he said what happened was that a top superintendent in Chevron (a white man) that controls an important unit fell sick, and the white man was taken to EGTL yard for quarantine, and he was quarantined for almost a week, and the came out to say he tested negative.
Report reaching me now is that chevron Nigeria limited has stopped all community workers from coming to work.
The fear now is that some persons are of the opinion that the issue was poorly managed because Chevron didn't want the issue to go public for it not to affect production because of the fear of shutting down the yard.
We are advising our brothers and sisters over there to stop hand shaking, hugging, and also stop holding those rails inside Chevron yard.
We need to be more proactive in tackling this CoronaVirus pandemic, And we are also calling on the leaders of Ugborodo, ministry of health to investigate this matter properly for the safety of people of Ugborodo.
