Continuation of the trial of #RevolutionNow convener, Omoyele Sowore and co-defendant Olawale Bakare today February 12, had some high profile guests as witnesses.
Nigerian Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka and former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district, Shehu Sani arrived the Federal High Court in Abuja, few minutes before Omoyele Sowore showed up.
Recall that the media personality who was arrested by the Department of State Services (DSS) on August 3 ahead of a nationwide protest, is standing trial on seven counts of treasonable felony, fraud, cyber-stalking and insulting the president.
Omoyele Sowore was released after spending 124 days in DSS custody, but was rearrested inside the federal high court barely 24 hours after his release. Following the outrage that trailed his rearrest, he was released on December 24, 2019.
