We are now at the very threshold of Artificial Intelligence(AI) and the effect is without a doubt confronting us in every single phase and area of our lives.
The machines are indeed taking over and the 21st century African is yet to grasp this reality. This new decade will shock most people in third world nations and a lot from first world countries.
How you might ask?
The answer is right in front of our very eyes, we only need to look and observe the way
things are being processed to see the difference.
Lets take Facebook for instance, who is in-charge of the day-to-day processing of information none stop? If you think the humans or Mark, then you are dead wrong. I am not going to sugarcoat it, AI is running Facebook and it is only assisted by humans, but the heavy lifting and programming are done by the Facebook AI.

Okay, no qualms, just let me elaborate. When was the last time you saw an advert on Facebook about something you have searched for something related to what you might need? My guess, is just a couple of seconds ago and if I ask you, do you know why and how that was possible, will you be able to answer me?
Maybe, maybe not, but it will interest you to note that the AI in Facebook has been learning and growing over the last 10 yearsand it is now able to serve you advert based on your preference, demography, age, what you like and what you commented on Facebook, the groups you joined and the pages you follow/liked, etc. This AI can predict what you maybe able to do/buy/sell in the next few days, it could do that using "Predictive Analytics", it does not stop there, it has gone as far as learning and searching your face and pictures on other platforms like Google Images, Pixr, etc using facial recognition to tell who is using your photo for malicious purposes. These and many more the Facebook AI is already doing and it is only assisted by few humans. This Facebook AI has made Facebook a top media company in the world and only seconded by Google in my opinion.

Note, AI can make the process seamless but you have to do some of the work at first then the machine/programs can take over.
