ITSEKIRI PROGRESSIVE CLUB PAYS TRAINING FEES FOR 24 STUDENTS..


The Itsekiri Progress Club, I.P.C. a platform of prominent Itsekiris has paid training fees of ₦690,000 for 24 indigent Itsekiri students who are to acquire different skills from the Delta State Multipurpose Youth Training Center, Egbokodo-Itsekiri, Warri.
The president of the club Chief Engr. Anthony Mele Onuwaje while tasking and appealing to beneficiaries to take their training seriously, stated that this training, if diligently pursued will guarantee them a bright future as the presentation is a pilot scheme to benefit more Itsekiri
indegenes aimed at building the capacity of youths as an assured way to economic freedom and self reliance.
Receiving the draft on behalf of the students and the center, the Center manager Mrs Okonye Peace Oreva thanked the group for considering the use of the State Government Center for giving lifeline to the youths who will benefit of the expertise provided.
She commended the club for the gesture having gone round and satisfied with what the center has in stock in terms of equipment, capacity builders and conducive environment.
It will be recalled that the center abandoned long ago has recently been reopened. The chairman Chief Onuwaje used the opportunity to thank the State Government and all those Itsekiris who advocated for the reopening of the center.
Other members in the chairman's entourage were Chief Solomon Arenyeka (Publicity Sec), Mr Oris Okotie (Secretary), Dr Duakpemi A. Ayu (Financial Sec.), Sir Lawrence Ukubeyinje & Dr. Silver Ejejigbe.
