A man dressed as a seminarian so he could steal a car from a Catholic church during a priestly ordination was caught and beaten by M.O.D Nigeria officers. A photo showing the dramatic moment he was slapped across the face has now been released online.

The man, believed to be 27, was allegedly caught trying to steal a brand new Toyota Camry during a priestly ordination at Maria Assumpta Catholic Cathedral, in Owerri, Imo State on Saturday, July 4, 2018 (read here).

After he was caught, he was handed over to some soldiers and M.O.D operatives in the church and they drilled him before handing him over to the police for further interrogation. One of the photos shows the moment a M.O.D personnel slapped the suspect during interrogation, causing him to start bleeding from the mouth.
