SPECIAL THANKS TO CHIEF AYIRI EMAMI AND COMR ESIMAJE AWANI.

Itsekiris will cry about federal govt negligence yet same itsekiris will destroy benefits from the Federal govt. After the first amnesty programme that benefited just 500 itsekiris as against thousands from our ijaws neighbours, one would think that itsekiris would have learnt their lessons.

Some months ago, after news of the 200 Slots for the Presidential Amnesty Program brought by CHIEF AYIRI filtered into the itsekiri media space, i made a post to thank him for his struggles and also commended COMR ESIMAJE AWANI for the distribution of the slots among itsekiris. I was quite impressed on how Comr Esimaje handled the distribution of the slots that he even sent slots to communities. It will be recalled that before Chief Ayiri brought his own, HON. DANIEL REYENIEJU had before then secured some 200Slots which was also distributed among itsekiris...which I also thanked him.

The Chief Aiyiri slots was a welcomed development as mentioned in my post then that this would increase the number of itsekiris benefiting from the scheme... but while we were still basking in the Euphoria of this good news, not sooner did the usual itsekiri UNHEALTHY RIVALRY crept in. Several persons turned it into a faction war. They discredited the Slots Chief Ayiri brought and called it a SCAM. A few persons even chatted me telling me they have gone to the Amnesty office to confirm that the Amnesty office is not aware of any of such Slots given to Chief Ayiri. Its was so bad that persons that were given from the Chief Ayiri slots even got carried away by these calumny campaign against Chief Ayiri as they became part of those calling it a SCAM. They bad mouthed Chief Ayiri with all unprintable names and a few even made post about it.
But on friday 19th and Saturday 20th January 2018 Chief Ayiri was VINDICATED as the Amnesty office conducted the screening/exams in ASABA for beneficiaries. I PRINCE NOSA was there on saturday and took part in the screening. I also collected the #13,000 that was given as stipend to all beneficiaries..hahahahaaaha( before nkor? Lolz)


MY PAIN.

The present day ijaws seems to be wiser than "some itsekiris".While I was there in Asaba, I saw ijaws coming in their droves. They came in buses. The ijaws that took part in this screening shouldn't be less than 2000 while itsekiris that finally came are just a hand full. I was privy to see the "Master- list" that has the names. I was pained to see that Chief Ayiri was the only itsekiri Leader whose names was there with the names of the itsekiri beneficiaries listed under his names. While Tomopolo , Chief Johnny and other ijaw leaders has their names there with the names of their ijaw beneficiaries listed under them. I couldn't help but wonder Where are the other itsekiri leaders? Why are some of our leaders so engulfed in local politics?

Even some itsekiris that received the text message from the Amnesty office still called it a scam due to how bad fellow itsekiris has branded the Slots given to Chief Ayiri hence they didnt come for the screening. I know they will be regretting by now. There is need for itsekiris to REPENT from this syndrome of Pulling down their fellow itsekiris. The habit of destroying anything that doesnt come from their camp is a cancer that is destroying us while our neighbours are making progress. The sky is big enough for everyone to shine. Do ur little and allow me do mine, itsekiri will be better. I cant end this without saying special thanks once more to Chief Ayiri Emami the Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom and also Comr Esimaje Awani whose presence in Asaba yesterday was of great influence for the itsekiris that came for the screening.
