Jessica Chastain broke a strange record on TV recently.
The actress, who won a Golden Globe for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, appeared on the Spanish television show El Hormiguero and during the show, the hosts asked their guests to take part in a no-blinking contest and Jessica Chastain won it.
Not only did the Californian-born star break the record set by fellow actress Margaret
Qualley, she obliterated it and didn't blink for a full two minutes, which is really hard. In the video, the moment she passed Margaret Qualley's record of 1 minute 14 seconds, she jubilated by pumping her fists in the air. Tears ran down her cheeks as a result of keeping her eyes open but she kept at it.
Jessica later tweeted that the task was "crazy painful" - but the Internet was very impressed.
However, according to Record Setter, Michael Thomas from Florida managed to keep his eyes open for an incredible one hour, 5.61 seconds. Meaning Jessica still has a long way to go to beat the world record.
