Politics: BREAKING NEWS: NEW PRESSURE GROUP CDA EMERGES WITHIN DELTA APC

Following last week's Appeal court ruling which quashed the Asaba high court verdict that had earlier sacked the state Executive committee of APC in Delta state, a new pressure group has emerged within the Party to be known as Consolidated Dynamic APC CDA with motto as "No man is God".

The group was formed after long hours of meeting by selected Leaders across the state at the country home of Chief Engr. Hyacinth Enuha on Saturday.

According to CDA, the group will be a rallying point for all stakeholders, individuals and

groups who believe in the equality of all party members irrespective of class or status.

The meeting also saw the dissolution of the caretaker committee headed by Sir Nath Omo Onyeke in line with the appeal court verdict of last Wednesday. While dissolving them, Chief Engr Enuha noted "As civilised politicians that we are, we must obey the verdict of a court of competent jurisdiction and as such, we hereby dissolve the state caretaker committee".

He further stated that although the group already has committed members across the state, they will not shut their doors against anybody or group that shares in their common ideology of ensuring that credible party members emerge and occupy both party and elective positions in all future congresses and elections from the ward to the state level.

Similarly, Barr. Patrick Ideh noted that the formation of the group is timely as it will help in expanding the frontiers of the party both within and outside just as a former commissioner for Education in the state, Dr. Mrs. Veronica Ogbuagu called for devotion from members to ensure that the group becomes the strongest political family within the Delta state chapter of APC.

Among others who spoke includes the Leader of Isoko Nation APC, Chief Lucky Esigie, the PA to President Buhari on social Media, Lauretta Onochie, the 2015 Deputy Governorship candidate of the party, VOT Abanum among several others who all expressed optimism that the best alternative for credible candidates is now in place.

Surveyor Peter Akarogbe and Barr. Dennis Nwanokwai were unanimously adopted as Chairman and Secretary respectively.
