Minister of Agriculture, Audu Ogbeh, recently disclosed that Nigeria will begin to export Yam to other parts of the world beginning from today June 29th. According to Ogbeh, this will serve as possible means of economic diversification and also as a way of generating foreign exchange.

1. Should we export our yams at the expense of our hungry citizen?
2. Should the farms in the Middle belts and South-South suffer from the activities of the cattle herdsmen while that in the North enjoy the proceeds from export yarms?
3. Could this be the plan of the North to incapacitate the farms in the South?
