THE REPORTED DECAMPING OF HON. GODWIN ABIGOR TO APC MIDWIVED BY PROPHET JONES ERUE AND CYRIL OGODO TO SETTLE SCORES WITH BARRISTER ARIYO ROBINSON: A CALL ON FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS TO STAY CALM

I have heard it rumoured but pictures speak a thousand words as it is rightly said. Yesterday, I read and saw a picture of Hon. Godwin Abigor and Prophet Erue Ode Jones and Cyril Abeye Ogodo raising the hands of the Hon.
I am sure you may have seen same. I have received several calls for reaction since then. However my response has been that there should be calm.
Those who imagine that they are leaders of the APC in Delta State view this planned bye election into the Delta State House of Assembly, Warri South Constituency 1 as a perfect opportunity to deal with me for my uprightness and steadfastness against the biased and discriminatory ways my ethnic group has been treated in the party in the state.

The questions in the lips of many are:

With the benefit of hindsight would I have done all I did?

 My answer: Of course yes I would have.

With the situation now would I still continue the struggle for the emancipation of my people ?

My answer: Of course I will.

What will be my response to this new move by Prophet Jones and Cyril Ogodo?

My answer: I will prove to the so called leaders that pin might be small, but ghastly danger lurks in swallowing it. They have just decided to swallow one.

I Barrister Ariyo Robinson will never accept this!
For the records just take a look at the scenario which has remained the same:
1. We all agree that the party in the State today is lorded rightly or wrongly by Olorogun Otega Emerhor and Prophet Jones Erue. One is Urhobo and the other Isoko. Fact!
2. The State Executive Committee is headed and deputized by an Isoko and an Urhobo man respectively. Fact!!
3. The two Appointment positions from the federal that were allotted to the party in Delta State were shared by an Urhobo and Isoko man respectively. Fact!!!
4. One of the positions referred to in paragraph (3) above is the EDP NDDC which tenure is supposed to be concluded by the Itsekiris under the aged long arrangement and under the relevant laws. Fact!!!!
5. All the Itsekiris in the State Executive Committee have either been suspended or expelled. Fact!!!!!
My journey into politics was with the hope that I would assist in a granular fashion to advance the course of justice, fairness and the observance of the rule of law.
Regrettably, I have had to ask myself again whether this party, APC is really the platform through which I can actualise this dream. Of course, this was after scrutinising what other existing political parties had to offer and arriving at the conclusion that I needed to explore this new way forward; even though I had prior to becoming a card carrying member of the APC, never being any political party.
One thing I have always known is that I have a calling to be a tool in the hands of God to bulldoze the way against oppression to allow for clean air.
As it is today the air in the APC in Delta State is stuffy and its time to treat it.
I repose continued faith in God as a mightier force than that of a thousand Jones of Ogodo!
