Tristan is seen smiling while holding Tatum, with both wearing sunglasses. In one pic, they look directly at each other as the toddler reaches around his dad’s face.

The Kardashians star went all out for her baby boy’s first birthday, decking out her home in multicolored balloons for space-themed festivities.
Clad in dark sunglasses and a white corset top, the Good American founder shared images of adorable astronaut cut-outs placed around her home, as well as fun-sized space helmets, on her Instagram Stories July 28.
“Prepare for takeoff, how cute,” Khloe wrote of the accessories, which were adorned with Tatum’s name. “These are little space helmets that the kids can take home.”
Other decorations included balloons shaped like the solar system, rockets on chairs, a play-dough station with figurines and a slime station because, as Khloe noted, “a party is not a party without our little artistry of slime.”
As for what’s on the menu at Tatum’s celestial celebration, Khloe showed a three-tiered cake with an astronaut centerpiece, mouthwatering doughnuts and cupcakes, and star-shaped French fries by their longtime private cook Chef K.

Authorities said Russell claimed she managed to escape when her purposted kidnappers were taking her through the west Hoover area, and that she ran through the woods until finding her way back home.
However, authorities were “unable to verify” most of what Russell told them during their investigation into her disappearance, Derzis said in a July 19 press conference. But, according to Derzis, they did find internet searches made on Russell’s phone that were “very relevant” to her case, including queries about Amber Alerts and the 2008 film Taken, a Liam Neeson movie about an abduction.

We heard just last week that Dwayne Johnson is apparently getting $50 million to star in the upcoming Prime Video holiday movie Red One, which would be the biggest paycheck an actor has ever gotten for a single production—not counting any bonuses—and would also solidify Johnson’s regular position at the top of the list of highest-paid actors in any given year (not counting the year George Clooney topped the list by selling his tequila company). But The Rock isn’t just sitting on his gold and jewels like a dragon in a fantasy novel, waiting for some adventurer to come in and haul off his treasure hoard. According to Courtney B. Vance, head of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation (a non-profit organization that is not officially part of the union but, among other things, helps SAG-AFTRA members with financial relief during hard times), Johnson made a “major, historic” donation to the foundation’s Emergency Financial Assistance Program right after the strike was called. How major and how historic? Well, nobody will say the specific number, but it’s in the seven figures, and foundation executive director Cyd Wilson says it’s the “largest single donation” they’ve ever received from one person at one time. So it’s pretty major and pretty historic.

Wilson also toldVariety that Johnson’s donation will help “thousands of actors keep food on their table, and keep their kids safe, and keep their cars running,” explaining that most SAG-AFTRA members don’t even get paid enough acting to cover health insurance and have to work second or third jobs to pay their bills, so big donations like this during the strike can help them avoid “financial ruin.” Wilson also noted that it’s “not lost” on him that Johnson is being “very humble about this,” and that is worth pointing out.
The man is a former wrestler and has always been a proud self-promoter, so it’s nice that he did this good thing for striking actors just for the sake of doing a good thing (the SAG-AFTRA Foundation also hopes that this will inspire other rich actors to open their wallets, which would be good). Plus, we can all probably agree that we’ve been a little tired of seeing this guy lately, since Dave Bautista is a better wrestler-turned-actor and John Cena tends to be a funnier wrestler-turned-actor, but this could go a long way in making us like him again. Not far enough for us to reappraise Black Adam, but far enough that we might be a little more excited to see him in a Fast And Furious movie again.

Rami Malek has proven to be a scene-stealer in “Oppenheimer” — something his biggest fans are ecstatic about … especially considering his mixed-bag journey in Hollywood.
The Oscar-winning actor is one of several stars with a smaller role in Nolan‘s latest feature — which is getting rave reviews. Ditto for a lot of the supporting performances, including RM … who shows up for an impactful monologue at a critical moment in the movie.
Towards the end I said to myself;
“Wow Devon Bostick, the guy from Diary of a Wimpy Kid, got more lines than Josh Peck and Rami Malek combined.”

SPOILERS AHEAD!!! … Rami’s big scene comes toward the end, when Robert Downey Jr. is revealed to be the bad guy — who’s trying to smear Cillian Murphy/Oppenheimer. Rami sits in as a witness in front of Congress, and he backs Oppenheimer in emphatic terms.
Essentially, his character — who only had a couple of lines up until this point — turns out to be a major game-changer in the trajectory of the film … and it happens at the drop of a dime.

While brief, his work is getting hailed as a standout in a flick packed with talent — especially on Twitter, where folks are (jokingly) saying they were right to hold onto their Rami Malek stock … ’cause he’s great. His resume of late hasn’t always reflected that, unfortunately.
Fact is … Rami’s ascension in showbiz has, at times, felt stunted — even after he won Best Actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody” … which was controversial. Some felt he didn’t deserve the win that year … of course, others disagreed.
Point is — since then, he hasn’t really blown up the way people thought he would, or should … instead getting sprinkled into movies here and there, somewhat unremarkably.
However, now … a lot of his supporters feel vindicated by what he did in ‘Oppenheimer,’ and are hoping he’ll be put back on the leading man trajectory that they feel he deserves.
Funny enough, Rami is far from the only actor receiving attention for their part in “Oppenheimer.” Frankly, there are several actors who did stellar jobs — and there are rumblings Cillian, RDJ and maybe even Matt Damon are in for Oscar noms come Spring.

Here’s the deal … Blake is trending this weekend, and it’s all because of this fake article that has him quoted as explicitly backing Aldean amid the whole “Try That In A Small Town” fracas — which has divided a lot of people, especially after the music video was released.

The story comes from a site called The Dunning-Kruger Times — which labels itself as “America’s Last Line of Defense.” This article of theirs is headlined as such … “Blake Shelton Cancels $30 Million Project With CMT: ‘Jason Is My Friend.'” The problem … it’s a BS piece.
The reason we know this — aside from the fact this is literally the only “media outlet” reporting such a story — is that DKT itself calls itself a website that’s just for laughs.
Their “About Us” page spells it out clearly … “Dunning-Kruger-Times.com is a subsidiary of the ‘America’s Last Line of Defense’ network of parody, satire, and tomfoolery, or as Snopes called it before they lost their war on satire: Junk News.” AKA, it’s one big fat joke.
Although this site has openly laid out their intentions — namely, laughing at conservatives — folks on the right have ran with this fake story regardless … lifting it up as a rallying cry.
While Blake and Jason have certainly been on friendly terms in the past … the former has not said anything about all the hubbub his new song/video has caused — and yet, it appears folks genuinely believe he’s on Jason’s side. Unfortunately for them, there’s no truth to it.
Strangely enough, this article hasn’t been hit with a fact check on Twitter yet … something Elon and co. have seemingly gone out of their way to do for needed context. Bizarre, indeed.

After all, Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s oldest child is officially reaching double digits, turning 10 on July 22. In honor of the occasion, Kensington Palace released a new birthday portrait on July 21.
George, the second-in-line to the U.K. throne, wears snazzy teal trousers and a buttoned shirt with his sleeves rolled up in the photo, which shows him relaxing on a stone staircase.
Less than two weeks later, the royal family honored her at a state funeral, where George and Charlotte were the youngest mourners following her coffin during the procession, walking behind their parents.
George later served as one of King Charles‘ eight Pages of Honour during the new monarch’s May coronation. In fact, George made history as the first future king to assume a role during a royal coronation.

Christine Tran Ferguson is facing an unimaginable loss.
The Tour de Lust influencer shared that her son Asher, who she welcomed with husband Ryan Ferguson, died following a fight “for his life in the ICU” two weeks ago. He was 15 months old.
“My heart is utterly broken and shattered into a million pieces,” Christine captioned an Instagram carousel July 20. “I will never understand why, nothing makes sense, I’m still in shock, I just want to wake up from this unimaginable nightmare and have you back in my arms. Why is this happening to us, why Asher?? You did not deserve any of this.”
Christine, who has not shared a cause of death, said Asher’s passing was “the hardest experience mommy and daddy has ever had to endure.”
“Everyday has been torture without you, this pain is unbearable,” said Christine, who often shared pictures of her family life with Asher. “I still feel like you’re going to reappear but our home is so quiet and empty without you. Part of me has died with you. I’m so heartbroken, with no idea how to live a life without you.”

News of the general spiritual capitulation comes as Netflix announces its intention to make its increased enforcement on sharing accounts as planetary as it can, pushing the initiative into holdouts of resistance like India, Indonesia, Croatia, and Kenya.

All of this is per THR, reporting on a Q2 earnings report from the streaming company, which announced that subscriber numbers increased by 5.9 million globally during the crackdown period, bringing the sum total of subscribers up to 238.4 million. (For those of you without a calculator, that means roughly 3 percent of the planetary population is actively subscribed to Netflix at the moment.) Netflix also stated that “The cancel reaction was low,” and said it succeeded in converting “borrower households” (ugh) into full-fledged subscribers. The company also says people sighed and sucked up its new program that allows users to add outside-the-home members to their plans for $7.99 a month, although that particular olive branch won’t be offered to users in the countries about to face the streaming boot, apparently because they already pay lower prices for the service anyway.

Netflix has been talking about slamming the door on password sharing since pretty much the same moment it realized it had reached a saturation point in most of its markets. (It’s hard, after all, to feed corporate America’s insatiable desire for growth when everybody who’s going to buy your product already has it.) The company hesitated on pulling the trigger on password sharing in the United States for a couple of years, though, as it tested out the program in markets like South America in hopes of finding the most rage-tranquilizing ways to roll it out. The news comes as the company is also continuing to push viewers toward its ad-supported tier, with the company removing its “Basic” ad-free plan earlier today.

In 1959, a mere 64 years before the release of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, Mattel’s signature doll hit store shelves for the first time and quickly became a Rorschach test for many girls and women as they transposed their own identity onto a plastic plaything. The small-scale doll was created by company co-founder Ruth Handler—pulling inspiration from Germany’s Bild Lilli doll—as a way to empower girls like her daughter Barbara (the brand’s namesake) to use their imagination in creating limitless worlds where they can be and do anything they want. It revolutionized play patterns for pint-sized consumers who weren’t just seeking the pretend solace of motherhood and domesticity. Yet for some adults, this tiny wonder represented an unattainable, manufactured version of perfection, subsequently transforming her into a lightning rod for controversy and feminist critique.

Nevertheless, Barbie persisted, blessedly changing with the increasingly enlightened times, diversifying her size and skin tone to become a more inclusive toy line. Co-writer and director Greta Gerwig repackages these goods in Barbie, her hilarious and heartfelt homage to the brand. By lovingly lampooning corporate missteps along with celebrating the successes, the film’s self-effacing humor, out-of-the-box smarts, and emotional potency strike the right tone. Gerwig and her creative collaborators—including co-writer Noah Baumbach—not only give the formerly inanimate figure a sparkling personality and a pastel-shellacked pop-art playground, they also deliver genuinely meaningful sentiments surrounding the complexities of gender politics. It’s the year’s best tear-jerking, thought-provoking comedy.

Stereotypical Barbie (Margot Robbie) has always had the quintessential Best Day Ever. She’s awakened each morning by a song (Lizzo’s “Pink” provides her daily mojo), dines on perfect meals, wears the cutest fashions, and hangs out with her fellow Barbies (played by Issa Rae, Hari Nef, Emma Mackey, Alexandra Shipp, and Nicola Coughlan) and Kens (played by Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu, Kingsley Ben-Adir, and Scott Evans). There’s also Ken’s friend Allan (Michael Cera) and Barbie’s pregnant friend Midge (Emerald Fennell), whose presence is purposeful even though their dolls were both discontinued. In the plastic fantastic Malibu-meets-Miami enclave of Barbie Land, all jobs are held by women while the men exist to frolic on the beach and the dance floor. It’s a fantasy utopia without walls or negativity.

That is until Stereotypical Barbie begins suffering from the throes of an existential crisis manifested in the form of bad breath, too-cold showers, flat feet, and pervading thoughts of death. Hoping for a quick fix, she pays a visit to Weird Barbie (Kate McKinnon), a spiky-haired, shaman-like Barbie that’s been “played with too hard.” Weird Barbie advises her to go into the Real World to find the person playing with her in doll form and cheer them up so life can return to normal. However, when Stereotypical Barbie and a stowaway Ken (Gosling) arrive in Southern California, they face fish-out-of-water hijinks while dealing with humans’ dysfunctional nature stemming from patriarchal toxicity, loss of adolescence, and adult disillusionment.
Since Gerwig and Baumbach are telling a story of a doll who has encapsulated all walks of womanhood over six decades, they find narrative weight in a multitude of supporting angles. In addition to Barbie’s main odyssey, there’s a mother-daughter story between surly tween Sasha (Ariana Greenblatt) and her deflated mom Gloria (America Ferrera) that’s touching and empowering. There are also heady statements about artistic creation, both in the visuals (one recalls Michelangelo’s Creation of Adam) and in Stereotypical Barbie’s relationship with her god-like creator, Ruth Handler (Rhea Perlman), who receives her share of ribbing. Initially defining the tertiary Barbies by their profession speaks satirically to all the one-dimensional female characters we’ve seen before in cinema, only here they’re given space to grow and acquire a richer sense of internality.
The filmmakers don’t pull any punches when skewering the commercialist underbelly of the brand. They allot screen time to a few ill-advised creations, like Tanner the pooping dog and Growing Up Skipper (“The doll who grows breasts!”). They make the all-male Mattel brass (led by Will Ferrell’s CEO) look like buffoons tripping over themselves and their faux-feminism to put Barbie and womankind back in a box—both physically and metaphorically. Still, at times it talks out of both sides of its mouth, celebrating what it also condemns. Crass commercialism is handled with a sly wink and a nod, playing to audiences’ nostalgic memories while simultaneously encouraging them to purchase new dolls.
The world-building in Barbie is exceptional. Production designer Sarah Greenwood and set designer Katie Spencer have created a candy-colored confectionary dream for Barbie’s environments, heightening the carefully constructed stylistic surrealism. They’ve coated it with vibrant pink paint, molded plastics, and tactile backdrops harkening back to classic Hollywood musicals. Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt’s pop soundscape bolsters the synthetic atmosphere in Barbie Land, but they thread the needle perfectly in the Real World, blending musical themes from Billie Eilish’s ballad “What Was I Made For?” to land the palpably moving moments.

Robbie nimbly handles the comedic rhythm of these worlds, igniting the spark of the dialogue and the slapstick as well as nailing the nuance and vulnerability of the grounded sequences. Her work sings in chorus with that of costume designer Jacqueline Durran, whose textures and tailoring augment the performance, and cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto, who illuminates the hidden facets within Barbie’s evolving psyche. Gosling’s portrait of Ken as a jealous, competitive himbo is absolutely divine, allowing him to show off his comedic chops, Gene Kelly-esque moves, and singing talents. (And abs!) Supporting cast members all shine, especially Rae, who plays President Barbie with crackling confidence, and Simu Liu, who plays Gosling’s adversary Ken with vigor.

It’s a tall order for Gerwig and company to deliver a feature that’s reverent and revelatory while speaking directly to the pressures of living up to an impossible feminine ideal. And yet they did it with crafty aplomb. Though a tad overstuffed with too many good ideas, pulling from loads of subtly identifiable cinematic references (everything from Powell and Pressburger’s 1946 drama A Matter Of Life And Death to the more recent The Truman Show), Barbie ultimately leaves us entertained, emotionally exhausted, and ready to play again soon.
