Top Italian Newspaper Corriere dello Sport has refused to apologise for their 'Black Friday' front page cover of former Manchester United players Romelu Lukaku and Chris Smalling, who now play for Inter Milan and Roma respectively....

The newspaper's Thursday morning 'black friday' headline with photos of both players, were used as preview ahead of Friday night's match between the player's two clubs at the San Siro.

The Senate has passed the 2020 appropriation bill. The passage was a sequel to the presentation of a report by the chairman of the Senate Committee on Appropriation, Barau Jibrin.  

The budget was increased from N10.33 trillion presented by President Buhari on October 8 to N10.6 trillion (10,594,362,364,830). In the report presented by Jibrin, N560.47 billion is for statutory transfers (a category into which the National Assembly budget falls).

Nine years after, Instagram will now ask new users to provide their age before creating an account

Almost a decade after its launch, Instagram is now taking responsibility to protect underage kids from the problems with social media as it will now ask new users to input their birth date and bar users younger than 13 from joining. However, it won’t be asking existing users their age.

Starting from Wednesday, December 4th, the photo-sharing service will ask new users for their date of birth when an account is created.

Two persons have been confirmed dead in the pipeline explosion that rocked the Isher-Olofin axis of Lagos state today Thursday December 5th.

Basket Mouth has released a statement in reaction to being removed as an ambassador for the European Union in Nigeria’s campaign against Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.

The comedian was one of the Nigerian celebrities who were chosen to be advocates for the EU's cause on Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV).

Nigerian court orders detention of Emirates plane over $22K debt

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the detention in Lagos of an Airbus aircraft belonging to Emirates Airline over N8.1 million($22,103) judgment debt.  

The order was sequel to a motion filed by Dr Charles Mekwunye seeking for the enforcement of a Supreme Court judgment in a suit between Promise Mekwunye and the airline. Vanguard reported that Justice Mohammed Liman granted the reliefs sought by Mekwunye.

Dino Melaye, Smart Adeyemi fight dirty after Kogi West senatorial election

The rivalry between former lawmaker Dino Melaye and Senator Smart Adeyemi has been reignited after the Kogi West senatorial election was concluded over the weekend.

Facebook to allow transfer of photos, videos to Google Photos

Facebook Inc. said on Monday that it had introduced an option to transfer photos and videos from the social media network directly to other services, starting with Google Photos.

The option will be available to users in Ireland, with a worldwide roll-out planned for the first half of 2020.

All data transfers will be encrypted and users will be asked for a password before the transfer is initiated, the company said in a blog post.

N-Power: FG explains delayed payment

The Nigerian government on Monday explained reasons for the delay in payment of two monthly stipends given to beneficiaries of its social intervention programme N-Power.

“The ministry is currently engaging the NSIP (National Social Investment Programmes) Cluster Heads for clarifications; in essence, the handover and taking process for these two programmes is still ongoing,” Nigeria’s Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development minister Sadiya Farouq said at a press briefing.
