The bird of prey ended up being Teen Wolf alum Tyler Posey, who was “flattered” that Scherzinger guessed he was Green Day‘s Billie Joe Armstrong before the unmasking.
“I love performing,” he told the judges, “and I just wanted to get a chance to do this.”
However, the actor also noted that he was bummed that his chances of winning had gone poof.
“I’m also a little competitive, so I’m also a little hurt,” he quipped. “But it’s OK—the Hawk forgives.”
