Warri: THE DAYLIGHT ROBBERY AND DEPRIVATIONS OF ITSEKIRIS IN OLERO FIELD.

Olero Field comprises of Jakpa Community ,Tebu Community, Aja-amita Community, Udo community ,Ebrohimi community ,Obaghoro Community , Utue-Jakpatie community and Gbokoda community ,all in Warri North Local Government area.

The day light robbery and deprivations of itsekiris is being perpetrated by Cannan Ajagbawa popularly known as Olero 1. Information have it that he rose from the youth executive to management executive and now according to my source he is now referred to as General
Commander of the area.This act is being carried out by the company in connivance with Cannan Ajagbawa.

I gathered that NPDC is currently working at Olero field precisely at Jakpa and Gbokoda communities for more than a year now with over 200 hundred people and the painful thing is that it has less than fifteen staff that are Itsekiri indigenes from the host community while the rest are irajamiren(non itsekiris).

NPDC contracted the work out to DONMARK ,a company where Cannan Ajagbawa is a shareholder .

I further leant that he (Cannan Ajagbawa) rented the houses built by interventionist agencies such as Desopadec, Nddc to the foreign workers and the irajamiren to the company running over millions with no payment whatsoever to the host communities while the indigenes who occupy those houses was driven out and rendered homeless in their homeland .

That even our young men that ought to be engaged by this company has been reduced to begging strangers for money to survive in their own homeland.
