Mr Buge Edukugho who hails from Omadino community in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State has revealed to our correspondent recently in Warri that he is the authentic and legitimate Chairmanship nominee for the position of Chairman in the Itsekiri Regional Development Committee [Irdc].

According to him, Mr Austin Oniyesan alias Gbokwa and others are not the legitimate executive members of IRDC pointing out that this case is already in  the High Court of Justice ; Delta State of Nigeria, in the Ughelli Judicial Division Holden at Ughelli In Suit No; s/41/2016.

Mr Edukugho further explained that they, Austin Oniyesan and Co are not constituted  in accordance with the relevant rules, laws, constitution and regulations of the IRDC’ and with  the mandatory requirements of participation of the respective segments of the communities.

‘’i am the valid chairmanship nominee of the IRDC by the Omadino council of Elders alongside  six others , omadino council of elders is the highest  administrative organ of the community even to make nominations as to who represents the community in this regard.’’ He added.

meanwhile, a source close to the palace who wishes to be anonimous has disclosed  to our reporter that the palace has zeroed in on Austin Oniyesan and his group for a round table talk on IRDC while Buge Edukugho seems  to have been excluded. the source further lamented that if this is so, it will still amount to illegality  and the tussle for the  chairmanship position in the IRDC seems to be far from over now’’ he added.
