Warri : THE PATHETIC STATE OF WARRI CENTRAL HOSPITAL, AN EYE WITNESS ACCOUNT

Its so unfortunate the kind of humans we have as leaders and how some of us making peanuts from the govt have decided to make ourselves gullible fools who openly call white black over a piece of pottage. Who say the free maternal is still working? Has that person ever taken his or her child to the General hospital for the past 1yr at least?

I had my baby at the federal medical centre Asaba 3yrs back and I loved the experience, the specialist attention more especially so I decided it will always be a govt hospital for me so I made the general hospital my hospital when I relocated to warri.

MY EXPERIENCE .

"About a year now and 2months i got pregnant. I Had a challenge and went to the General hospital warri as early as 7,30am. I eventually saw a doctor at about 10:00am and was told to run a scan. I went to the hospital in pains. I was able to do the scan after about 2hrs after i paid in a hospital where someone claims free maternal is working after the scan, I can remember rolling on the floor in pains with scan result in my hand and I didn't see a doctor till about 5pm; when one came and directed I go to the labour ward. I alongside many other pregnant women some in labour were left unattended to. I had to introduce myself as a journalist before they grudgingly referred me for admission. I trekked to my ward without any medical personnel. This was already about 10pm . I had to pay for several test still without a doctor. I even had to do another introduction and pleading before I got a bed space. The nurses were full of complain on how everything they needed to work is inefficient. "

Was there Light on that day? CAPITAL LETTER N-O "NO".

The only place that had light was the laboratory running on generating set.
I was in darkness and in pains till the next morning, when it became clear to me that the specialist attention I needed, I won't get. In super pains I discharged myself but it was too late,I eventually LOST THE PREGNANCY.

I also had an experience with my baby. I paid for him to be attended to about a year ago, just that to be FAIR there were doctors to attend to him.

So who says free maternal and under 5 treatment was never stopped?
GENERAL HOSPITAL BOTH WARRI AND EKPAN NEEDS ATTENTION URGENTLY.
