I have watched with the keen interest and rapt attention, the goings on since the demise of our lovely sister and perhaps the most attractive female legislator Delta State has ever produced, Hon Omawumi Udoh.
I have at no time granted any interview to any newspaper whether online or in the terrestrial concerning any bye election; other than to say to one of two journalists that we should allow for reasonable time to mourn and honour the deceased.
I have never and will still not make comments on what my decision would be as regard the planned bye election.
First, in law it is completely inappropriate to do otherwise and then morality calls.
What is all this tumultuous agitations about? Newspapers online are already making decisions for me without any contact with me. They say I have decided not to run the bye election. Please kindly let me be; as the world does not revolve around any person or thing.
The world will not end if I decide not to run neither will it end if I decide to run. But let's allow fate a chance; after all there is enough time still at hand.
A decision to run or not to run has to come from above the high hills and will transcend any political party or group of persons if it is eventually made. It is well said that no army can stop an idea whose time has come. Que Sera Sera !
