Former senate President David Mark has been declared winner of the Benue South rerun election held,on Saturday.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Mark, who
defeated Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) with 84,192 votes to 71,621.

The result was declared by Prof.Ishaku Enigi. PDP had has raised alarm over the plot by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to manipulate the results of the Benue South senatorial rerun. READ ALSO: Mark leads by 4,000 as Benue South senatorial poll turns bloody (photos) State chairman of the PDP Dr Emmanuel Agbo has said the APC planned to hijack the results from the polling units in Ogbadibo local government area and have refused to hand over to the collation officers.
The party claimed the APC candidate Daniel Onjeh is the one leading the charade. “As a party we call on all security operatives to arrest the situation forthwith so that the will of the people will not be thwarted. The APC in connivance with some security operatives have refused to allow the PDP agents access to the result sheets,” the PDP said.
