Meet the Country Music Icon Named The Voice’s New Mega Mentor

Reba McEntire isn’t the only country music queen saying howdy to The Voice.

Legendary singer Wynonna Judd is set to join the singing competition series as the season 24 mega mentor, NBC announced Oct. 31.

The Grammy winner will accompany coaches Niall Horan, John Legend, Gwen Stefani and McEntire to mentor the remaining artists who have made it through the Battle Rounds ahead of the three-way Knockouts beginning Nov. 6. And according to a new promo, Judd has some unique—and hilarious—tips for the competitors.

“Squeeze your butt,” the Country Music Hall of Fame inductee tells one hopeful during rehearsals. “I do that when I hit high notes.”

A surprised Legend responds, “We’re getting gems over here!”

Judd’s addition to the show follows fellow country icon McEntire joining the series to replace longtime Voice coach Blake Shelton, who exited earlier this year after a whopping 23 seasons. And as the most-winning coach in the competition’s 12-year history with nine champs under his belt, the “God’s Country” singer had full confidence in his successor.

Matthew Perry’s Body Wasn’t In Water Long Before Being Discovered

Matthew Perry‘s body wasn’t in his hot tub for very long before he was found dead from an apparent drowning … which adds a whole new layer to his tragic death.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … Matthew’s body was not waterlogged when first responders arrived at his Pacific Palisades home and declared him dead at the scene.

Matthew was alone when he died — he was home after playing pickleball earlier in the day Saturday at Riviera Country Club — and it’s fair to wonder what the outcome would have been if someone else was around, or if his assistant had gotten to his house sooner.

Remember … Matthew got home from the country club and sent his assistant on an errand, and when the assistant returned home Matthew was unresponsive in the jacuzzi and the assistant called 911.

As we first reported, a search of MP’s home did not turn up any illegal drugs … but there were Rx drugs found in the house, including anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs.

Our sources say law enforcement also found a COPD drug in the house. COPD is short for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease … and that drug is often used for people who have emphysema or chronic bronchitis.

Matthew was a smoker during his life, and now we’re told law enforcement found Nicorette patches and Nicorette gum in the home … so it seems Matthew was serious about quitting cigarettes and reclaiming his health.

The L.A. County Coroner has yet to determine an official cause of death. The toxicology results will take at least 6 weeks.

Cassie and Ricky Went From Strangers in Middle-School To Soulmates for Life!

Life brings people our way for a reason. Cassie and Ricky’s meet-cute was simply orchestrated by fate. Even though they attended the same middle school, they remained strangers up until Cupid stepped in.

They became acquaintances in high school and fast forward 8 years later, love happened when they reunited through an Instagram DM. The lovebirds took their love to the next level as they celebrated their 3-in-1 wedding in grand style. They had a solemn white wedding ceremony where they exchanged their vows in the presence of their loved ones as well as a vibrant Igbo trad to represent their culture. To wrap it up, they had a lit wedding reception and it was so much fun. They rocked all their looks with elegance and they make such a stylish duo. We are super giddy that love brought Cassie and Ricky together!

How we met
By the bride, Cassie:

First comes school, and then comes marriage. Let’s take it all the way back to 2002. My husband and I went to Middle School together but did not meet until a few years later when we were both in High School and became acquaintances. Fast forward to 8 years later we reconnected through social media and found that we both had relocated to Los Angeles, CA. Over the past 9 years, we have been inseparable through it all and can’t wait for this next step in our lives.

Here is how Ricky popped the question:

Ricky and I were on vacation in Hawaii celebrating my birthday. Before leaving for vacation, Ricky says, “I want to plan something special for you on your birthday.” I of course asked a million questions about what it was and he stated “It’s something we have always wanted to do.” I was clueless as to what it was. Fast forward to my birthday, and we arrive at the absolutely breathtaking Lanikai Beach. Set up and waiting for us is a surprise, beautifully decorated tent with pillows
and a picnic with wine and other goodies.

I was so surprised and overjoyed but still thought these lovely gestures were all for my birthday. An hour goes by and we are enjoying each other’s company, then a photographer shows up and is like here is another surprise we are going to do a photo shoot. Ricky takes solo photos first and then I take mine. While taking our photos together, the photographer asked us to say one thing we appreciate about each other. Ricky said to me, “I appreciate your strength and willpower.” It was then I noticed the tears rolling down his eyes as he said, “Because without you I don’t think we would be here today.” He then says “I love you” and gets down on one knee to propose. I was in the most blissful shock and I said “Of course!” After the proposal, yet another surprise. Ricky brought me his phone and on it, my entire family was on a Zoom call witnessing the whole event and congratulating us.

Here’s how Cassie and Ricky’s wedding went:

Ours was a 3-in-1 wedding day which began with a Traditional Igbo wedding followed by our white wedding ceremony in beautiful Los Angeles and then a wedding reception surrounded by our family and friends. Our wedding day was everything we had imagined. We worked with our dream vendors including Reem Photography and Adeola of Team Celebrations. I truly felt like a bride and loved every outfit and aspect of our day. It was truly a magical day and I will cherish these memories forever.
